More than just “church”                     

We are a Bible based ministry seeking maturity through spirit led body ministry.  If Jesus and His disciples taught it, we seek to believe it and practice it.

FEATURES UNIQUE TO NEW HOPE FELLOWSHIP ASSEMBLY OF GOD

We are a group of believers training to become a “Body Ministry”  focused church.

In our practice that does entail some of the following:

1.  All those attending the service may at times be, encouraged to pray one on one with each other.  Or as a group we gather in a circle and allow the opportunity for everyone to participate by praying whatever God leads them to pray.

2.  Those attending the service may also at times be, encouraged to allow God to use them in any of the gifts and callings listed in 1 Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4 along with other talents which build up the body of Christ. These include:

prophecy, service, teaching, encouraging, giving, leadership, administration, mercy, wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, discerning of spirits, tongues, interpretation, helps, evangelism, youth worker, construction worker, cook, prayer intercessor, artist, hospitality, computer tech, music ministry ( keyboard, drummer, guitar player etc.)

BODY MINISTRY OUTSIDE THE CHURCH WALLS

We have a strong conviction that every person who has had the born-again experience described by Jesus in John 3:1 - 8, have been adopted with us into the family of God and are co-heirs with us.  With this belief comes a responsibility to seek out and build relationships with our brothers and sisters in order that we can strengthen each others walk, and fulfill Christs’ desire, that his followers be one even as he and the father are one, so that the world will know that God sent Jesus and that God loves them even as he loves Jesus. John 17:20 - 23

Jesus wants a biblical unity so that the world won’t falsely believe we are various religions, but instead one people, following one true LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, empowered by the one Spirit, traveling the narrow road through one narrow gate that leads to eternal life, with one God and Father of us all.

We believe the scriptures teach the true church is not a building or denomination but all true believers together make up the body of Christ with Jesus as our head. So then to say of the other members of our body, “I don’t need you.”, or to think of them as less important is damaging to the whole body of Christ.

At the same time we are quick to condemn a false unity which accepts all religions, regardless of there biblical beliefs and practices.

BODY MINISTRY IN THE INDIVIDUALS

We seek to help each person to recognize their various giftings and callings as described in Romans 12:6 - 8. We provide help, encouragement and opportunity for them to serve Christ with these giftings.

EVANGELISTIC & DISCIPLESHIP

Is to be done as a body, as each person using their gifts and callings, together evangelize and train up the individual to become a mature follower of Christ.

WORSHIP

Our worship has a contemporary, and more importantly, biblical focus.  Everyone is encouraged to worship God with all their mind, body and spirit.

Mind - allowing the emotions to connect with God

Body - encouraging the raising of hands, standing, bowing down, shouting, dancing, clapping hands, playing tambourines, blowing shofars (rams horns), etc. 

Spirit - allowing our spirits to connect with Gods Spirit.  Those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.
